A typical custom home project with Prime 1 Builders takes 12–18 months from initial design to move-in, depending on the complexity of the design, permitting timelines, and site conditions. We’ll give you a realistic schedule estimate after your initial consultation.

No. If you’d like, we can help you evaluate potential lots before you purchase. We’ve seen too many homeowners fall in love with a piece of land that turned out to be difficult or expensive to build on. We’ll review setbacks, topography, utilities, and access so you can make a confident decision.

A production builder (sometimes called a neighborhood builder) works from a set of pre-designed floor plans. You choose a plan, pick your finishes from a menu, and the builder constructs it efficiently at scale. A custom builder, like Prime 1, starts from scratch. Your floor plan is designed specifically for your lot, your family, and your lifestyle. No two Prime 1 homes are the same.

We build on your lot. We don’t develop communities or sell pre-platted lots. If you have land, or you’re in the process of finding some, we can work with what you have or help you assess potential sites.

Yes. While we have in-house design capabilities and a preferred design-build process, we can work alongside your architect if you already have a relationship in place. We’ll discuss the best arrangement for your project during our first meeting.
